Look who goes to the Beach too! That’s right there are dog friendly beaches in Alicante.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spaniards love their dogs! The smaller the better! And with the temperatures raising over 35 degrees, one cannot help feeling sorry for you pet! After all, they are the babies of the house!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately dogs are banned from most public beaches in Spain, however MIA has discovered a few hidden places where they can go.<\/p>\n

\"Dog<\/a>Most Calas (rocky beaches) have no police watching therefore to sneak in your dog there could be fine, just make sure they do not disturb the other sunbathers and clean after them, also if you take your dog during the off season it will not be a problem either.<\/p>\n

But if you are one of those who like to be on the safe side and be relaxed, there are a couple of beaches in Alicante for our hairy friends. El Campello beach has one dog friendly beach near the petrol station in San Bartolomeu Avenue. \u00a0Playa de Punta del Riu Sec is located by the bridge before getting into Muchavista (Rio Seco), it’s close to shops and restaurants so this could be ideal for those who like the crowded places. You can reach this place by bus or tram.<\/p>\n

My favourite dog friendly beach in alicante\u00a0though, is in EL Xarco, right before getting into
\nVillajoyosa, off the Old National Motorway N332. You will need to drive a car; Don\u2019t be confused when you arrive there as there are two beaches with the same name, the one for the dogs is the one near the Tower, the road is not of easy access but is short and not busy. Xarco is a Rocky beach, free of commerce with lovely views in calm waters; you will be amazed how much dogs like it and how well they behave.<\/p>\n

Make sure you take your water shoes and plenty of water for you and your dog!<\/p>\n

Both beaches have parking and where to get rid of your rubbish.<\/p>\n
